Building their own machine and software platform in-house alongside running their own vending operation has enabled them to develop the best smart vending solution in the market today. And with three different servicing options, they not only have the most technologically advanced smart vending machine on the market, they also have one of the most flexible operating models in the industry too.

They’re rapidly expanding their client list and proudly serve leading brands and businesses throughout multiple sectors in the UK such as Apple, Amazon, Barclays, BP, BT Sport, Student Roost, Urbanest, Greystar, PwC, Virgin Active and more.

They’ve begun to successfully further commercialise their machines by running digital advertising campaigns on the screens for product brands they stock and also third-party advertisers, creating a lucrative additional revenue stream for the business. They’re now currently building software to support programmatic digital out-of-home advertising to further develop this exciting and important aspect of the business.

The Opportunity

They’re a start-up with big ambitions and are looking for an enthusiastic person to join their team and help facilitate their exponential growth strategy. The last 20 months have been transformational for the Company with over 200% turnover growth and over 250 locations.

They’ve also brought in our own in-house ad sales team to come and really capitalise on the advertising opportunity that expands across their entire machine estate. As it stands this is a team of one and they’re incredibly excited about the prospect of growing this team. This is where you come in… they’re looking for a sales exec to jump in and make a name for themselves within the world of media and OOH.

The Role

The primary function is to maximize the commercial potential of all their machine screens through third party advertising campaigns. This will need a thorough understanding of their unique proposition, building and maintaining client relationships within the specialists and agencies, creating and developing sales proposals in response to client’s requests pre and post meetings and sales.

This role is perfectly suited to a sociable someone who likes a challenge and is looking to make avery exciting move into the world of media. (Opportunities like this only come around once in ablue moon)

Responsibilities include;

  • Business development: harness existing client relationships whilst simultaneously building and developing new ones. (a big focus will be on the development of new ones and you’ll need to make friends fast)
  • Commercial strategy: work directly with the head of sales to define the right commercial approach and negotiate existing and potential deals (yes your opinion will matter).
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.
  • Supporting the Head of Sales
  • Creating and presenting proposals for clients
  • Following through on leads to schedule meetings, supporting the managing booking and delivery of campaigns and producing post-campaign reports
  • Logging all activity on the company CRM database as well as keeping excellent records of meetings.
  • Media and advertising is a social job and you’ll be expected to organise and attend social events, including some client entertainment out of normal work hours. (This should be enjoyable and something you get out of bed for)
  • Chasing creative from agencies
  • Fulfilling all KPIs (to be agreed upon from the outset) and achieving sales targets

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrate a natural flair for sales and actively enjoy building relationships and client interaction
  • Being target driven, have the ability to initiate new ideas and create proposals/deals that will increase revenue streams
  • Ideally 1+ years’ experience working within a sales environment (media experience would be brilliant)
  • Have the ability to write and present first-class proposals that articulate to clients the business and opportunity.
  • Competent in Keynote/ Powerpoint, Excel
  • An essential skill, is a very natural hunger for meeting new people and an ability to make friends fast while retaining a professional image.
  • Gathering market and customer information – you’ve got to love asking questions.
  • Have excellent negotiation skills and a natural confidence.
