We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new sales opportunities, and managing customer relationships. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the sales process, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service. The Sales Executive should also be able to think strategically and creatively to identify new markets and opportunities for growth.

The Role

The position will take full responsibility securing new sales and growth to help deliver the business strategy. You will be required to identify and develop relationships with often high profile and well-known brands within the wider industrial and packaging sectors. You will act as the main contact for your assigned customers, responsible for successfully delivering solutions to meet their needs.

Your success will be measured against account growth and gross profit targets which will require you to proactively identify and capitalise on all opportunities to increase sales/profitability by utilising a solution led sales approach.

A generous commission is available for meeting the agreed KPI's for this position along with Phone and Laptop and car allowance.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the agreed KPI’s and target figures of the desired area.
  • Achieve planned sales turnover, volume, selling price targets, margins and other agreed performance related goals.
  • To secure long term business by valuing the customers by offering a ‘solution’, subsequently maximising margins.
  • Forge and nurture customer relationships with various stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effectively handle customer problems and complaints within agreed guidelines, through to a mutually acceptable conclusion.
  • Continuously seek new opportunities in the market and make recommendations for development.
  • Keep ahead of the competition by monitoring existing business levels and reporting on competitor activity.
  • Provide the direct line manager with concise and timely sales information as required, including accurate sales forecasts.
  • Full participation in the setting of realistic sales budgets, KPI’s and goals.
  • Co-ordinate and ensure a fast and effective response to requests for proposals, presentations, quotations and samples.
  • Successfully negotiate prices and contracts.
  • Deployment of effective Marketing strategies.

About You:

  • Candidates with a background in and experienced with sales of cardboard cores | tubes and edge guards will be at a distinct advantage
  • Ideally located in Essex or within a commutable distance from CM16 6HR
  • Strong IT skills using the full range of MS Office suite
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organised and able to prioritise
  • Full UK Drivers Licence (clean)
