Job description
AMETEK STC, a business unit of AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a full-time UK and DK Sales Engineer to continue the territory growth strategy of its TEST products. TEST products are focused on materials testing equipment for a diverse range of industries such as pharmaceutical, food, automotive, aerospace, defense, and packaging. Projects are typically longer cycle and CAPEX intensive. Applications are focused around software-based systems that require configuration.
We deliver the right testing solution for our customer’s application through our testing expertise combined with the right product testing capabilities.
You will be responsible for:
- Technical and relationship sales, heavily application focused in response to enquiries from our customers and new leads.
- Qualifying leads and converting them to satisfied customers.
- Managing relationship with existing key accounts and developing new key accounts
- Feedback voice of customer information to enable continuous new product development.
- Installation and training at customer site of new equipment
- Application software technical support
- General account, contact and opportunity management in our CRM
- Weekly reporting and forecasting
- Supporting distributors demonstrate the benefits of our systems and providing a solution to their testing requirements
- Web seminar and tradeshow support as required
- Marketing support as required
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
- 5 or more years of experience in application sales
- Experience selling hardware and software into quality control/R&D/production environments
- Experience configuring software systems including simple programming using macros/visual sequence builders
Ability to travel 50% in the territory
