The Role
An opportunity has come up for a talented Hybrid Sales Engineer to join team as part of the new division. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, salesmanship, and discipline when it comes to executing our policies and procedures. As the Hybrid Sales Engineer is required to assist in the development and introduction of our new hybrid energy line to our B2B clients, we are after a someone who has good working knowledge of the relevant specs and applications of hybrid energy products – proven experience in maintenance or production of such hybrid energy systems would be viewed favourably. The role necessitates travel to meet with clients, as well as to our other locations within UK.
Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should be able to:
- Assist in the ongoing development of tenders, including liaising with contractors and negotiating such contracts
- Follow up on sales leads and schedule new sales activities
- Provide sales consulting and provide solutions for existing and new clients and end users
- Action enquiries from their relevant sector in a timely fashion, as well as be able to ‘close’ such enquiries
- Work with our service team to deliver after-sales support
- Ensure that clients are compliant with legal requirements, our own policies as well as with any government regulations
- Prepare periodic reports, as well as improvement plans to be provided to management
- Liaise with Logistics and Sales Administration team members to facilitate stock coming into and dispatching from the warehouse
- Other duties assigned by managers from time to time
Key Competencies
The following competencies will be highly regarded:
- The ability to undertake multiple tasks with a minimum level of direct supervision
- The ability to analyse and plan to account for any changes in the Market and be able to coherently convey such plans/analysis to the Sales Director and senior staff
- A keen attention to detail to be able to action changes as and when they occur
- The ability to work in a team, both within Sales and with other Powerlink departments
- To have an affinity with technology to provide support regarding technical specifications of our products via telephone
