Job description
We are now seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our commercial team to support our growth in the Restaurant and Retail sectors. As part of the Fourth team this role will be focused on diversifying into increasing both revenue and market share and cementing our position as the market leader.
The Role. . .
- Identify current and future customer business needs and requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers
- Provide web-based, phone, and in-person customer requirements discovery, solution demonstrations and proof of concept exercises
- Developed demonstration scripts supporting best practice demo’s and customized for the various hospitality business types
- Provide written responses to RFPs (Requests for Proposal)
- Gain customer and prospects’ confidence to such a degree that they see you as the solution expert
- Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, as well as product future direction
- Support the services team in creating and consulting on Statements of Work (SOW) for delivery and deployment of our solutions
- Design sales playbooks and positioning for new and existing products
- Discuss details of solutions with deeply technical customers and developers. This includes detailed discussions of data integration, inclusion of complex business processes, end-user capabilities and flexibility
- Gain customer acceptance by determining improvements through analyzing cost-benefit ratios of solutions in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in business processes
- Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
- Provide training and create support material for other members of the sales team
- Create and contribute to a positive, professional, and fun environment to work at every day
The Ideal Candidate. . .
- 3+ years in sales engineering or similar experience such as restaurant or retail IT
- Experience in Workforce Management and Inventory Management solutions
- High sales aptitude
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong understanding and ability to articulate innovative technologies and corresponding value propositions
- Ability to deliver on business commitments
