Job description

Reporting directly to the CSO, the Sales Director will be accountable for executing business growth plans, as set by the Board and EMT; to deliver against the budgeted revenue/gross profit figures by maximising all opportunities across all Commify brands within the UK and Ireland.

In summary they are responsible for overall business growth and customer retention within the UK territory and for ensuring that the territory team is correctly structured and supported to achieve this.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role holder will be responsible for:

  • Developing short, medium and long term strategies to help the sales teams achieve its revenue targets and growth plans
  • Enhancing our approach, sales practices, market segments and partnership models to establish long term sustainable revenue streams
  • Identifying gaps/trends in our market to strengthen our competitive position
  • Ensuring the structure of the team is fit for purpose and is evolving in line with business needs and remains scalable and sustainable
  • To engage with key stakeholders across the business
  • To work closely with the Marketing department to improve the effectiveness of on and offline marketing to maximise sales opportunities
  • Managing the needs of the Sales and Account Management teams to drive focus and instil a high performance culture
  • To provide data/MI to support with trend analysis and reporting
  • Putting in place sales targets and productivity measures to ensure that the team have a clear view of what they need to achieve and how they are being assessed, ensuring these are fit for purpose in order to drive the right behaviours and motivate the team
  • Work with the Sales Operations Director to develop and drive the sales forecasting process while maintaining a strong relationship with field management, to ensure timely, accurate and prompt sales forecasts
  • Work with the CSO to establish sales goals to support business segment revenue goals while developing, aligning and implementing territory assignment and sales plans
  • Develop, implement and own sales policies, procedures and best practices in order to increase effectiveness and productivity
  • Participation in management decision-making processes concerning sales issues and procedures

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

The job holder will be an exceptional candidate, with a proven track in a similar role. In particular they are required to have:

Essential

  • Experience with leading, motivating, coaching and supporting a sales team
  • The ability to present/ forecast to executive management
  • Strong focus and understanding of Sales activities in general - including but not limited to sales planning, reporting, forecasting, sales process optimisation and sales compensation planning
  • Experience of the B2B sales process with a focus on both enterprise & MSP
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Solutions sales including the process, Solution sales methodology and understanding the problems Solutions solve for our customers
  • Highly consultative solution sales approach
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, (ideally SalesForce), including experience of all aspects of the sales cycle and workflow generation
  • Experience of selling technology products/services across key solutions verticals
  • Inspirational people management and leadership qualities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Solid influencing and negotiation skills
  • The ability to think strategically and act pragmatically at all times
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results driven and target focused
  • Excellent commercial acumen

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £120,000.00-£200,000.00 per year
