Become part of our SWARCO team as Sales Director - Remote Location: Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom | Full time Your Challenge We have a fantastic career opportunity available for an experienced Sales Director to join our very busy and growing team here at Swarco Smart Charging. The role is to lead, manage and develop Head of New Business Development, Head of Key Account Management and Head of Bid Management, ensuring relevant sales targets are agreed and achieved. The aim of this role is to deliver Order Intake through the development and delivery of a clear sales strategy and commercial decision-making. Primarily focused on identifying and promoting value propositions to new and existing customers. The role is home based. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a clear sales strategy with an aligned sales plan with team and segment targets. Develop a sales pipeline of rolling un-weighted and weighted opportunities to ensure that sales order intake can be achieved Developing and progressing senior relationships, both internally and externally. Regular market share and competitor analysis. Product and solution portfolio development. Commercial and proposition direction for key tenders, cost review and approval in line with signatory powers, cost proposal presentation for senior leadership approval for high value bids Provide sales strategy, market insight, competitive position and performance updates to the Senior Leadership Team Managing relationships with strategic customers Ensuring clear and regular communication with all other departments to support the sales strategy. Day to day management and on-going development of the Sales and bids teams. Ensure commercial contracts and arrangements are reviewed, positively risk assessed, in line with company requirements and dealt with in accordance with company process. Ensure that all works are only conducted once there is an agreed form of written contract in place between the company and the customer. Your Profile Essential Qualified in Sales and Sales Management to ISMM or similar level (Institute of Sales and Marketing Management); and/or Previous experience of managing high performing sales teams in preferably in a relatable technology/solution based market Familiarity with various forms of commercial contract terms and conditions (preferable but not critical – training can be provided) Strong people focused leadership skills Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills Good analytical skills with the ability to disseminate complex information in concise briefing reports Strong IT skills to intermediate level including MS Office Preparation and delivery of sales material such as presentations, industry papers and input to marketing documents Business case writing Strong general writing ability with regards to pre-qualifications bids and tenders Results driven Resilient Credible Decisive Self-driven Full driving licence. Willingness and ability to travel with overnight stays when appropriate. Right to live and work in the UK Desirable MBA or similar business qualification in relevant field.
