A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Senior Management Team of a thriving UK holiday park company with 14 parks across Scotland, Northern and South West England. Location: Home based with extensive travel throughout the UK
About the Role: Our Sales Director is responsible for delivering the annual Group Holiday Homes Sales budget and the overall performance of the Group’s Sales departments. You will lead, develop and monitor the sales teams to ensure that targets are met, opportunities are maximised and high standards are consistently delivered.
As a senior member of the management team, you will inspire excellence, lead by example and embody the culture of the business, helping to sustain and grow this award-winning business
Typical duties and responsibilities include:
Monitor supply, demand and sales mix trends including economic indicators and competitor activities and react accordingly through management of sales prices, incentives and stock levels.
Develop and implement standard sales operating practices and monitoring techniques in conjunction with direct reports, ensuring compliance with legal obligations
Ensure effective sales monitoring is in place for all sales activity to ensure that the business captures critical data in relation to conversion rates and market opportunities
Ensure strong compliance with relevant laws and regulations across the holiday home sales function including FCA, GDPR and Trading Standards compliance.
Build peer support and strong internal company relationships with marketing, operations, finance and other group functions
About the Person: We are looking for someone with extensive experience in UK based holiday home sales management, and a proven leadership track record, inspiring and motivating a team to deliver results. You will need to have excellent communication skills, a highly developed work ethic and a passion for the caravan industry. Keen negotiation skills, meticulous attention to detail and a positive attitude are all essential attributes. To be successful in this role you will need strong people skills, the ability to effectively prioritise competing demands and thrive on new challenges.
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience running a multi-site holiday home sales operation
Demonstrable knowledge of the holiday home sales process and the UK holiday park market
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to ‘close the deal’
The ability to identify new business opportunities and maximise existing opportunities
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
