Sales Development Representative (SDR) London, England

Checkit
Full Time London, England 35359 - 53080 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

We’re expanding our Growth team with the addition of a new SDR, reporting to our VP of Sales. This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, motivated and ambitious individual to build a sales career, with a clear path available for progression to an Account executive role. We are interested to talk to experienced software sector SDRs, business-to-business sales people from other sectors, and people seeking their first sales role alike – we are very open on background.
The key to success in this role is attitude and application. We are looking for someone really hungry to succeed, with a strong work ethic and boundless energy. You’ll be highly coachable and able to apply learning in your role, developing new skills and improving constantly. This is a high-volume sales role with a lot of cold calling involved, so frequent rejection is inevitable, and we need someone who never lets a no affect them negatively, and will always dust themselves off and keep going. You’ll be a glass half-full type who sees everything as a learning opportunity. Naturally you’ll be a brilliant communicator and highly organised.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate achievements and success in their life to date, which could be in work or could be from your personal life, such as success in sport, music, volunteering or any other field.
With an excellent basic salary, strong commission package and a wide range of benefits, this is both a great earning opportunity and a chance to evolve over time into a global management role within our Growth function. It’s predominantly home based with a couple of visits per week to our office in central London, so you’ll need to be based nearby.

What you'll be doing

  • Using a variety of structured sales techniques to cold contact prospective customers and book sales meetings for the team of Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Responding to inbound sales enquiries, qualifying them to assess relevance, and converting realistic prospects into sales meetings for the team of Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Targeting Operations leaders in enterprise level companies across one or more of our key markets: Medical (NHS, private hospitals, care homes, laboratories & research); Facilities Management (typically service outsourcing companies especially in the mass catering sector); Food Retail (supermarkets, convenience retail); Hospitality & Catering (food-to-go, pub & restaurant chains, hotel & leisure chains).
  • Achieving stretching KPIs around call volumes, social media engagement, customer contacts, meetings booked & quality of leads generated.

What we're looking for

  • Whilst a University graduate or graduate calibre individual is preferred, no specific academic qualifications are required for this position.
  • Any experience as an SDR within the SaaS or IoT sectors would be useful, but isn’t essential.
  • Any other structured sales experience, particularly in a business-to-business sector, would be good.
  • Experience of being professionally trained in sales would also be helpful. MEDDIC would be amazing.
  • If you’ve been in sales, able to evidence sustained achievement of sales targets.
  • BUT we are also open to receiving applications from people without any sales experience, who have all the right personal qualities, and are looking for a breakthrough into their first sales role.
  • Whatever your background, you’ll be able to demonstrate some good achievements within your work or personal life that showcase that you have the personal qualities we are looking for.
  • Incredible communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Collaborative and team oriented approach to work.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Highly coachable, able to retain training and apply it effectively in your day-to-day work.
  • Highly driven, passionate, motivated and energetic approach, with a strong work ethic.
  • Focused, gritty and determined, with the ability to keep going.
  • Ability to be both persistent and consistent in the face of rejection, never letting a no get you down.
  • Glass half full character who looks on the bright side and sees learning opportunities in everything.
  • Motivated to earn and ambitious to develop a successful sales career.
  • Personable, team-oriented and enjoys working with others.
  • A strong interest in technology and keen to keep up to date with new developments.
  • Living within easy commuting distance of central London.
