As a Business Development Representative on our International Sales team, you will identify and engage with high quality brands that we would like to work with, as well as organise meetings and help pitch Pattern’s services. You'll be supporting sales activities in the UK and Europe, as we accelerate towards our revenue objectives. This full-time role is based in our modern and friendly central London office, in Soho, with flexible working options available. We are a fast-growing company with a can-do culture.

What is a day in the life of a Business Development Representative?
  • Researching ecommerce categories and identify high-growth brands/products to trade on EMEA Marketplace platforms
  • Work closely with the London-based Head of Business Development and European Marketing team. You'll also interact with colleagues all over the world including USA, APAC and the Middle East.
  • Research relevant stakeholders and identify value propositions
  • Network via LinkedIn and offline to build relationships and organize meetings
  • Execute outbound sales to penetrate mid-market/SME businesses
  • Record key information in Salesforce, including meeting notes and business information
  • Manage contractors from Upwork.com
What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • 2:1 or above BA/BSc from a Top Tier university
  • 1+ years marketing or sales outreach experience (phone/email) for a top tier ecommerce, technology or software company (e.g. Adobe, Salesforce, Amazon, eBay or similar)
  • Experience of engaging senior stakeholders in both enterprise and SME businesses (VP/Director level)
  • Excellent research skills and business acumen, with previous exposure to different cultures across UK and Europe
  • Previous experience of LinkedIn research, sales outreach, and updating of sales databases (such as Salesforce).
  • Highly organized, motivated, and results driven in all activities with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-type environment
  • Proficiency with Google software including Docs, Sheets, and Slides
Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Previous exposure to Marketplaces, specifically (but not limited to) Amazon
  • International experience
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Outreach
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a bonus

  • You will work alongside the EU sales team and be mentored by the EMEA Sales Director. You will report to the Manager of Business Development based in the US. This team is data-driven and results-oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team and work across departments with other senior level colleagues to implement actionable solutions.
