Role Profile
Our customers across the Maritime Industry, ranging from Governments to Fortune 500 companies, and we are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join the team and play a key role in our success in 2023 and beyond.
This role is balanced working model between home and our modern and centrally located UK office on London’s Southbank, with an excellent and a wide variety of services and transport links situated nearby.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing business development sales strategy
- Leveraging a variety of outreach tools such as phone, email, and social platforms (LinkedIn) to develop interactions with potential customers
- Generating new business opportunities for the company by contacting, qualifying, and identifying potential customers
- Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual Business Development targets
- Working collaboratively with the Business Development team to create and execute the new logo sales strategy
- Executing best practise of pipeline and opportunity management
- Utilizing the CRM (SalesForce.com)
- Timely/accurately forecasting of Orders and Sales on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
What we are looking for:
Essential
- At least 1 years’ experience in a sales role with a new business development focus
- Proven experience working towards and overachieving KPIs and sales targets
- Proven experience using a CRM system
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- A desire to work with lots of different stakeholders, be they clients, colleagues, managers, or prospects
Desirable
- Proven knowledge of the Maritime and shipping industry and its customers
- Experience using Salesforce
- Proven experience selling business intelligence, insights, market data or editorial products and/or services
- Proficiency in a European language
- A degree in any discipline
