About the role
There is an opportunity for a Sales Administrator to join the OIA (Ocado Intelligent Automation) team, ensuring that our Sales cycle is supported robustly, helping to drive the success of the overall OIA business.
The ideal candidate has worked in a fast-paced, global sales environment, is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, is energised by working on high-profile projects, and is comfortable in communicating and organising a wide range of project and business professionals across all levels. The role holder will have a passion for business growth, process and operational improvement, exhibits strong ownership, and quickly earns stakeholder trust.
About you
- Supporting the Sales Directors and Commercial Director by providing coordination and administrative support on all Sales activities, including required input from other departments
- Setting up and coordination of sales prospect visits to sites within the UK and abroad
- Tracking and providing feedback to the team on ongoing sales activities in the form of a weekly meeting, and management of any outstanding actions
- Ensuring that the CRM system (HubSpot) is kept up to date with all relevant activities; providing regular reporting and actively managing key stakeholder updates
- Act as the CRM administrator / super user and provide support to other users in the business as required
- Running and distributing departmental reports as instructed by the Commercial Director including monthly travel and expense reporting
- Assisting with general administration duties for the business
- Liaising with customers to ensure timely distribution and return of information (accounts, legal or other) required to support the sales cycle
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, able to direct their inquiries quickly and professionally
- Providing timely and relevant feedback to ensure that the sales process continues to improve
Note that this role may require the individual to travel on occasion, both within and outside of the UK, to support events, tradeshows and on site activities.

- Excellent business, time management and coordinating skills

- Excellent written English, with the ability to review and proof-read documents
- Commercially minded and numerate with an understanding of sales cycle processes
- Experience working with CRMs (HubSpot desirable), as well as Excel / G Sheets
- Exposure to complex / technical environments, such as construction, automation or software development
- 2-3 years' experience in a sales / business development team environment within a similar role
- Exposure to cost/financial tracking
