Imexpart Ltd, one of the largest and most respected independent Automotive Parts Specialists in the UK are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Castleford as a Field Sales Coordinator. This is a new internal position within our organisation, and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our field-based sales staff. As the main internal contact for our field sales team, the Field Sales Coordinator will enhance communication and collaboration between the internal and field-based teams. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills to provide customer spend analysis and sales trends to our field support staff. Additionally, the role involves assisting with customer meeting preparation, analysing customer visit reports, and providing sales analysis by product range and Line of Business (LOB). The Field Sales Coordinator will also contribute marketing ideas and ensure the accuracy of reports and information provided by the field sales staff. This role will require occasional outbound prospect calls to generate referrals for the field sales support staff and aid in the planning of sales meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary internal point of contact for field-based sales staff, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Improve the relationship between internal and field-based teams to enhance overall sales effectiveness.
- Coordinate and track meeting actions to ensure timely follow-up and resolution of tasks.
- Provide customer spend analysis, including identifying positive and negative sales trends, to support business development managers in the field.
- Assist in preparing relevant data and information for customer meetings, contributing to successful sales interactions.
- Analyze customer visit reports to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Engage in telephone contact with key accounts and liaise with field support staff to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.
- Conduct sales analysis by product range and Line of Business (LOB) to identify key insights and growth opportunities.
- Offer innovative marketing ideas to support sales efforts and improve brand visibility.
- Verify the accuracy of reports and information submitted by field sales staff.
- Assist in the preparation of data-driven statistical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct a limited number of outbound prospect calls, generating referrals for field sales support staff.
- Collaborate with sales teams to plan and execute effective sales meetings and events.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales support or related roles, preferably in a field sales environment.
- Experience within the automotive parts aftermarket would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and field-based teams and key accounts.
- Detail-oriented and organised, ensuring efficient coordination of tasks and meeting actions.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software to generate reports and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute creative marketing ideas to drive sales growth.
- Familiarity with sales processes, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and sales-related reporting.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Educated to A level standard (or equivalent) in Maths and English is preferred but not essential.
