Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Sales Support to join the Global Sales Support Team, based at South Shields. This is a key role in providing world class support to all of Barbour’s wholesale customers and global distributors and is vital for achieving on time in full deliveries of the forward order book. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a fast-paced busy office environment and be able to work to targets and deadlines.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help achieve the sales budgets and targets by order book management to key partners and achieving on time, in full delivery of forward orders.
- Monitor the forward order book and work with supply chain and the warehouse to deliver to the customer on time.
- For your customers & areas, report on delivery performance at month end.
- Understanding of your customer delivery windows, warehouse procedures and cancellation policies
- Provide customers and account managers with regular sales order analysis
- Provide direct sales support to the field based global sales teams.
- Prepare and submit assigned export / customs documentation for international deliveries.
- Arrange the collection of assigned consignments and advise customers on their anticipated delivery date.
- Help achieve incremental sales by understanding your customers and what they sell, work with them to identify best sellers and encourage repeat orders.
- Attend trade calls from time to time with your key accounts & account managers
- Process sales orders, telephone enquiries and correspondence with specified time limits (KPI’s).
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of sales/ customer service office environment.
- Competent IT Skills:MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to liaise with customers and consumers appropriately.
- Proactive planning/ time management skills to enable effective prioritisation of workload.
- Accuracy and attention to deal.
- Willingness to listen to customer, acknowledge and make relevant and suitable suggestions.
- Team working.
- Ability to build rapport with customers over the phone.
- Ability to work under pressure, within closely managed targets and deadlines.
- Effective Administration skills including data input.
- Flexible approach and attitude to workload in the department.
- Willing and able to participate in training and development as deemed necessary.
