The NEC Group have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Consultant to join our Venue Services Team.
The department is responsible for providing venue services and products to enhance the experience of customers who are visiting, hosting, or exhibiting at an event.
Working around our busy exhibition calendar, the Sales team are responsible for maximising sales opportunities through cross and up selling additional products and services, received through the various sales channels, in lines with sales and service targets.
Key responsibilities:
- To develop a full understanding of NEC products and services that can be sold and the marketplace in which The NEC operates
- Investigate and understand customer needs and offer appropriate solutions to the customer
- To develop and manage sales portfolios and convert leads to sales as per targets for both outbound and inbound sales strategies
- Manage relationships with all relevant customer groups and ensure all records are appropriately maintained
Skills and Experience:
- Contact Centre, telephony experience preferential
Technically able to utilise a variety of computer systems and processes to effectively achieve objectives
- Minimum of 1 years experience within a proactive outbound telesales role, generating sales
- Ability to interact with others, have good social skills, able to influence and negotiate
- Team player with the ability to share knowledge and information and work collaboratively at all levels across the organisation
