Job Summary
We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our growing clothing and footwear business in Oban. They will welcome customers as they enter our business and assist them in finding the products that meet their needs. The successful candidate will assist with receiving and stocking inventory, as well as maintaining the sales floor. The Sales Assistant will also create and set up seasonal displays and assist in our online business. The candidate should have a desire to achieve high standards, and be motivated to work alone or as part of a team. Responsibilities and Roles
- Work with the team to enhance and improve customer satisfaction
- Monitor the sales floor to make sure that sales shelves and displays are organised, and products are easy to find
- Assist with controlling the store’s inventory, accurately recording arrivals, and completing stock takes as required
- Handle customer questions and resolve customer service issues
- Collaborate with management team to highlight sales floor and online promotions or add positive energy to seasonal displays
- Seasonal roles available too June-September
Qualifications & Skills
- An understanding of basic computer skills, (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Previous retail or hospitality experience would be helpful
- Customer service experience a plus
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Availability/Hours
- This role will require weekend work, both Saturdays and Sundays. We will aim to give 1 weekend off per month unless otherwise requested.
- Offering between 16 -24 hour contract at 8 - 8.5 hours per day
- Option for extra hours by agreement for busier times and/or to cover holidays
- Shop opening hours 0900-1700 winter and 0900-1900 summer.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week
Salary: From £11.00 per hour
