Haskins Furniture in Shepton Mallet are passionate about furniture and exceeding customers expectations. Haskins Furniture sells quality furniture, specialising in famous brands.
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Advising and liaising with our customers to help them choose suitable furniture for their homes – whether this be within our upholstery, dining, or bedroom departments.
- Provide excellent customer service before, during and after a customer place’s an order and assisting customers through the buying journey.
- Accurately placing the order on our internal system with all the customers requirements.
- Keep up to date with training of products and current promotions, including keeping in contact with reps and suppliers.
- All Sales Assistance should have exceptional knowledge of lead times, products in stock and specific information regarding the products.
- Ensure all sales material is available and up to date, such as brochures and spec sheets.
- Ensure that the showrooms are kept clean and tidy, this includes dressing furniture, presenting POS and ensuring tickets are correct.
- Sales Assistants are responsible for booking their own deliveries and ensuring the warehouse manager has all the correct information to provide an excellent delivery service.
- Collaborate with other teams to deliver an exceptional service.
- Assist with minor service issues and then escalate using correct procedures if the customer needs further help.
You will:

- Be a responsible team player, be supportive and help others when necessary
- Actively develop your skills and product knowledge
- Be confident with Microsoft and basic IT skills.
- Have exceptional customer relation skills.
Start time - 9.30am
Finish Time 5.00pm (Sundays 10am - 4pm)
35 hours spread over 5 days per week, including weekends on a rota basis.
Basic pay of £10.42ph + commission.
On target earnings would be £25,000+
Sales experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
