The Sales & Marketing Executive will identify research and qualify potential customers and new contacts for Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club. They will work with both existing sales leads and new opportunities to qualify customer requirements against the strategic needs of our business in order to secure quality appointments for the sales team, meeting agreed KPI's to include call volume and conversion. They will also support the Marketing Manager by contributing to the development of marketing strategies.

The Sales & Marketing Executive will ensure that sales activity is in place to support account development and penetration, planning and communication to grow sales revenues for Dalmahoy.

Essential Functions

  • Managing a small set of existing corporate accounts
  • Prospecting for new sales leads (new and existing accounts) with key focus on the meetings & events segment
  • Re-soliciting historical bookings for repeat business
  • Scheduling customer facing appointments (as required)
  • Monitoring key competitors, identifying key clients, promotions, business levels and development activity
  • Ensuring all sales administration is in place to support account development for the Sales Team.
  • Performing all administrative duties as outlined by the Director of Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Playing a supporting role with RFPs for meetings, events and accommodation
  • Supporting the co-ordination of FAM trips, hospitality events, trade shows and exhibition
  • Supporting the execution of defined hotel marketing strategies
  • Playing a supporting role in preparing monthly reports for the asset managers
  • Updating Opera with sales activity, new contacts and contact/address amendments
  • Support with social media and online content planning and copywriting
  • Support Marketing Manager with in conducting research and analysing data to identify and define audiences.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in a hotel related or commercial sales and marketing environment (preferred, not essential)
  • Verbal and numerical analytical ability
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and telephone skills
