SALES ADVISOR/DRIVER
The Bedroom Centre is a well established family run business based in Perth. We are currently looking to add to our hard working friendly team. As an enthusiastic key member of the sales team, you should have a natural ability to engage with customers and assist them to ensure they choose the bed or furniture that best suits their needs. To process sales, and place orders, a good grasp of numeracy, literacy and computer competence is a must. As a vital part of the driver/delivery team, which involves some heavy lifting, you must have a full clean driving license. The position commands a salary of £25,000 per annum, averaging 32 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a 3 weekly rota. If you've a bright disposition, are reliable, trustworthy and self-motivated, then joining this small friendly team could be just right for you.
IN YOUR SALES ADVISOR ROLE
- You will fully engage with customers offering advice and assistance in all aspects of sales on the shop floor.
- You will be taking each sale through the whole process, from a sale to the customer, to ordering products from the supplier. Checking stock in from the supplier and updating computer and stock systems for each product. (For which full training will be given.)
- You will be answering phone calls and emails and liaising with customers and suppliers and taking pride in providing an outstanding service as part of the team.
- You will be helping to keep the shop tidy and the display always attractive and eye-catching, doing some general cleaning around the shop to do so.
- A previous sales experience is an advantage, although full in store training is provided.
IN YOUR DRIVER ROLE
- You will be assisting to unload suppliers lorries, and loading products onto the company van for delivery or into the shop for display or storage.
- You will use your knowledge of the local area/google maps to deliver goods to the customers on the pre-agreed day and time of delivery.
- You will unload the van on arrival at each customer and accommodate them if required by placing the item in the required room. (No assembly)
SALARY, HOURS & BENEFITS
- £25,000 per annum
- 5 days out of 7 including 1 weekend out of 3, on 3 weekly rota.
- Shop opening hours Mon/Tue/Fri 9.30 - 5.30 Wed 10-4 Sat 10-5 Sun 1-4
