By joining us, you will be taking the first steps towards becoming a leading Sales Representative or Precision AG Specialist, all while mastering the intricate details of our products, processes, and customer needs.

As a member of our trainee scheme, you will be entrusted with the following core responsibilities:

  • Participate in specialized courses as outlined in your individual development plan and promptly complete online training modules to stay abreast of the industry's best practices.
  • Engage in rotational placements across various departments at both your designated local outlet and our head office.
  • Assume responsibilities and execute tasks that correlate with your learning and departmental assignments.
  • Undertake practical work placements with our valued customers in both Agriculture and Turf sectors.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of our customer's needs, challenges, and day-to-day operations through these hands-on experiences.
  • Collate and submit all necessary evidence for your portfolio, demonstrating the skills and knowledge you've acquired throughout the program.
  • Regularly attend review sessions and feedback meetings with your designated manager, mentor, and course sponsors, including our HR Manager and Sales Director. These interactions ensure you're aligned with our objectives and are making the most of the learning opportunities.
  • Engage actively with various teams, fostering a collaborative spirit and leveraging knowledge from experienced colleagues.

Your additional responsibilities as a Sales and Precision AG trainee will include:

  • Warmly greeting and directing customers to relevant services like sales, parts, or service.
  • Professionally managing phone, email, or face-to-face inquiries and ensuring optimal customer interactions.
  • Actively participating and representing Ben Burgess in events, from setup to direct customer engagement.
  • Efficiently handling sales documents, instruction manuals, and delivery notes for machinery.
  • Capturing high-quality photos of machinery for our website and assisting in machinery movement for sales activities.
  • Maintaining and updating our CRM and GOLD systems regularly.
  • Undertaking rigorous training programs, including our sales apprenticeship and the Sales/Precision Agriculture Trainee Scheme.
  • Proactively learning about company operations, improving selling skills, and supporting customer demonstrations.
  • Engaging in placements within various company departments and with direct customer environments.
  • Ensuring the depot remains optimally arranged and stocked for both administration and sales.
