- Health and Safety NVQ Level 3 or NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent)
- You possess a meticulous level of sustained attention-to-detail

Our Fulfilment Centres are at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing business: they’re where we manage our fast-moving inventory. Our associate teams stow deliveries, pick products, package them up and ship them out: each of these groups have played their part in taking us where we are today.
In this crucial health and safety position, you’ll report into the WHS Manager, as part of a shift-based role.
Key job responsibilities
- Provide high visibility presence within the Fulfilment Centre to drive engagement and build relationships with associates and managers at all levels of the business
- Attendance at site meetings, such as daily deep dive, flow meetings etc. as needed
- Completion of key duties such as observations, inspections and audits to drive injury prevention and training compliance, and participation in management audits to build trust and fulfil support role
- Assist in the First Aid and incident investigation processes, providing technical advice and support to the leadership team, to ensure that duty of care is met and causal factors are identified; help identify and drive corrective actions to facilitate injury prevention
- Maintain oversight of action tracking and compliance calendar systems, hold action owners accountable for on-time completion and provide coaching to improve performance
- Understand and track compliance of key regulatory, legislative and internal (HASAWA, MHSAW, RIDDOR) standards and/or requirements and highlight reports to WHS Manager as needed
- Complete daily standard work as determined by WHS Manager and communicate completion of standard work to WHS team
- Advise and collaborate with the operations team to undertake and review of scheduled and dynamic risk assessments as required, to ensure we can meet our customer promise safely, while proactively monitoring the deployment of control measures.
- Accurately completing daily metrics and callouts whilst meeting deadlines.
- Learn, understand and implement Amazon WHS procedures, providing specialist and technical WHS advice and support to leadership.
- Conduct yourself professionally at all times: you maintain confidentiality in matters involving safety investigations
- Assist with coaching, training, and briefing to operational teams (all levels) to ensure compliance with the safety management system and promoting safe behaviours
- Undertake and support deployment of any site and/or regional projects
- Develop close working relationships with other support functions within the FC.
- Flexibility: you’re willing and able to cover non-traditional shifts–including nights and weekends–during peak periods.
- Experience in logistics / operations/ warehouse/ customer-oriented environment a plus.
