Cobalt are working alongside an award-winning client-side organisation to recruit a Head of Health & Safety to oversee a large commercial portfolio within London.
The ideal candidate will have experience within commercial management and be well skilled on fire safety, complaince and all other areas of Health & Safety.
The role will be to lead the charge in ensuring all buildings within their portfolio are compliant, with health & safety and fire regulations up-to-date.
You will be working hand in hand with several different business areas, and also have 3 direct reports (2x H&S coordinators and a H&S Manager).
The core responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
To manage the existing employees within the H&S team and to drive performance
Site visits and inspections for the properties in the company portfolio
Monitor all existing legislation and regulations on H&S within the business
Implement further Health & Safety policies to be followed across the business
Implement H&S training schemes for PMs and other staff within the business
Reviewing construction details, drawings and surveys to ascertain risk profile of buildings
Monitor and ensure compliance with the BSA 2022
To be a point of contact for property management team leaders for guidance
Requirements:
Relevant qualifications including, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications would be advantageous.
