Due to growth across the compliance operations department, we are now looking for committed and meticulous people to join our safer gambling team.
About the role:
The Safer Gambling (SG) Officer will be responsible for safeguarding both the company and our customers. You will proactively assess and review customer profiles to source, identify and intervene with customers who have or could be in the process of developing gambling problems. You will monitor new registrations, adopt an empathetic approach when dealing with the sensitive issue of gambling addiction via numerous channels including phone, live chat and email.
Owning cases from start to finish, through risk assessing accounts, conducting due diligence checks, liaising directly with customers, and reviewing & signing off documents. This role will ensure the business is up to date with regards to regulatory requirements in the ever-changing regulatory landscape of online gambling and provide training as-and-when required.
You will work closely and build strong collaborative relationships with other teams across compliance operations to ensure we are providing an excellent service for our customers.

We are a team of over 170 people with our HQ based in Wigan, Greater Manchester (WN3 5AZ). The role will be 37.5 hours per week and include a varied shift pattern with some weekend work and working hours between 8am and 6pm. We offer flexible hybrid working and a full induction and training plan will be provided to anyone who joins the team.
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience in a customer facing environment with the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and thrive in high pressure situations
- Ability to manage & prioritise your own workload
- A confident and professional telephone manner with the ability to manage difficult conversations
- A logical and structured thought process to facilitate sound decision making and justification
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards
- Experience in the production of metrics/reporting to support compliance and business objectives is advantageous
