The starting salary for this role is £48,632 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

We are excited to be hiring a new Safeguarding Advisor to join our fantastic Transition team. The team has office bases in Quadrant Court, Woking and Woodhatch Place, Reigate. The team is County wide and covers all of Surrey.

About the role?
This role will be within the context of achieving and delivering the work of our team for service users and families. You will lead on the development of safeguarding practice in the team, ensuring that young people and families drive our work.
The role includes engaging with partner agencies and will be able to provide safeguarding advice, guidance and chair safeguarding meetings. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the Safeguarding Strategy ensuring all practice is fully in line with the multi-purpose training programme offered by the Surrey Safeguarding Adults Board.
As a Safeguarding Advisor at Surrey, we will put you in the best possible position to assess the social care needs of our service users, providing direct positive intervention to some of our more complex service users and support for their carers.
The Transition Team are passionate about supporting young people and their families live healthy, active and fulfilling lives, safely, in their own communities. We would love to hear from you if you share the same passion.
In your application, we would love to hear about your;
- You must hold a professional Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Nursing or other relevant Qualification and be registered with a professional body.
- You will need to have a significant working knowledge of the current statutory framework for health and social care provision and relevant legislation and experience of coordinating safeguarding enquires.
- Knowledge and experience of working with people who have learning disabilities and/or Autism would be an advantage.
