There is a vacancy within Manchester University Foundation Trust (MFT) for a Band 3 Safeguarding Administrative Assistant
Safeguarding is a valued and integral part of multi-disciplinary team working across the Trust. The position will be based at Wythenshawe.
This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in safeguarding administration. You will assist the Safeguarding Team providing a comprehensive, high quality and efficient administrative service.
To process highly sensitive information involving child and adult neglect and abuse.
To provide a reception service. Responding efficiently and effectively to any enquiries.
To liaise with various health professionals to ensure the timely submission of information in an agreed format.
To produce accurate and well-presented documents.
Operate and maintain a robust, accurate and secure filing system.
Retrieving and storage of information, files, and medical records.
Transporting of medical records between sites on the Oxford Road campus.
Maintain spread sheets and databases.
Servicing meetings/events as required.
Procurement - order stationery, clinical supplies, and equipment stock.
Use own initiative to meet tight deadlines.
Provide flexible administrative and clerical cover as required, occasionally involving working at another base in the local area.
To provide cover for the team lead administrator in their absence.
The use of various Information Technology systems (e.g. Child Health [CarePlus], PAS, Chameleon) to retrieve and input information.
To prioritise and allocate work resulting from the opening and actioning of mail (paper and electronic).
Receiving & dealing with incoming calls to the service in a sensitive, confidential manner.
Maintain electronic diaries.
Undertake general office duties as required.
To undertake any other duties at the request of the line manager, which are commensurate with the role.
