the Safeguarding Lead you will be responsible for to ensuring the Wigan division carries out its statutory duties with respect to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Adult and Children.
To assist with the development and implementation of the Trust’s and Local safeguarding agenda, and ensure that Trust policies, procedures and governance systems meet statutory and national requirements in relation to safeguarding.
To support the Wigan Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the division contributes to multi-agency safeguarding work alongside specialist safeguarding professionals from other organisations and bodies, including Adult’s social care, education and health, and in the planning and development of strategies for safeguarding.
To ensure that safeguarding concerns are monitored and dealt with in a timely and effective way across the division.
