The impact you have in this role
As an Abrasive Systems Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Developing a territory business plan to prioritise account calls, activities, penetration, and product use.
  • Driving utilisation of the 3M Abrasive Systems Division product portfolio, according to the planned product mix objectives, through demonstration and trials.
  • Find and develop new end users increasing end user loyalty to 3M Abrasive products across the territory by using abrasive product, application, and process knowledge. Improving knowledge and providing training and education to customers.
  • Developing and managing favourable relationships with key end user decision makers. whilst developing and maintaining close working relationships with territory channel partners built on agreed business plans, promotional activities, joint working, and end user support.
  • To manage margin and pricing requirements in line with the business expectations aligned to implementing and delivering on any national marketing or sales programmes
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who will have the following qualifications/experience:
  • Proven sales performer with track record of strong sales performance within the Industrial market.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc) essential
  • Ability to challenge others.
  • Demonstration of good verbal & written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, Ambitious & Driven
  • Self-Motivated
  • Strong relationship building and networking skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Works with honesty and integrity in all interactions
  • A good level of general education is required
  • Full Driving License
  • Degree qualification or equivalent preferred but not essential
Role Location: Field based covering the South East
