A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be part of the team at the Bristol and Bath Rum Distillery, the home of Dead Man's Fingers Spiced rum, in the heart of Bristol.

We are now looking for passionate & people-focused event hosts to join the distillery’s team.

You will be responsible for hosting spiced rum making classes at the distillery.

Responsibilities:

You will entertain our guests with:

· Rum’s rags to riches story, the dark chapters, the light hearted ones, hosting an interactive class that will entertain and inform.

· Demystify the science behind rum’s creation and the many different processes that are used in its production throughout the world.

· Discuss rum's many personalities, and introduce new ways to understand rum, so your guests can approach the spirit through fresh informed eyes.

· Inspire your guests with a spiced rum tasting, guiding them through the many different spices, botanicals and fruits used by distilleries all over the world.

· Help your guests choose their own botanicals and then guide them through their own distillation in our rum labs, as each guest creates their very own bottle of spiced rum.

Full training will be provided: But the following skills are required.

· Strong communication skills and charismatic oratory.

· Previous experience hosting small groups for spirit based events

· A keen interest in hospitality and focus on delivering great service.

· Work well on your own in a pressurized environment

· Hardworking, self-motivated and dedicated

· Attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills.

· Bartending experience and an interest in cocktail culture and mixology.

· Strong understanding and interest in the spirits industry, with a focus on rum.

· An interest in spirits creation and the distillation process.

· A desire to learn and share knowledge in an enlightened, fun and engaging way
