An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to work with the Public Protection Unit who are currently seeking a Typist to work within our small Typing pool. This is a full-time position completing 37 hours per week covering the department between Mondays and Fridays on a flexible pattern.

You must be computer literate with previous experience of audio and text production, ideally with and OCR/RSA qualification (Oxford, Cambridge & Royal Society of Arts) or equivalent experience. C&PP tackles some of the most serious and complex crimes within our communities, when victims can be at their most vulnerable. Whilst these are highly demanding roles in terms of both the potential emotional impacts on both those involved and the teams themselves through long and complex investigations, it is easily one of the most rewarding. There are few roles that offer the same job satisfaction, knowing that at the end of the day you have safeguarded some of the most vulnerable members of the public, including children from serious harm, whilst locking up some of the most dangerous.
