Job Title
ROV Pilot
Role
The ROV Pilot will be responsible for safety, and effectively operating and maintaining EM&I’s inspection class ROVs as required.
Vocational Competencies
Required
- Offshore Survival.
- Offshore Medical.
- Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) or international equivalent.
- ROV Logbook.
- Knowledge and experience working with hydraulics, mechanical, electronic, and electrical systems.
Desirable
- Knowledge and use of using a ROV Sonar Systems
- Experience with Ocean Module V8 M500 preferable
- Additional safety accreditation on managing work safely (i.e., IOSH).
Experience Competencies:
Required
- Experience working offshore as an ROV Pilot piloting and maintaining ROVs.
- ROV control, navigation, and propulsion systems.
- Ability to direct operation of ROV System.
- Safety and survival training to meet clients and industry requirements.
- Strong team building, motivation, and leadership skills.
- Self-starter.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Keen team player.
- Ability to work alone and under pressure.
- Organisational skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of floating / ship structures (i.e., FPSOs, Drill ships, Semi-Subs, FLNG).
- Training in safe work management and risk assessment.
- Experience with the ROV Ocean Module V8 M500, Video Ray MSS Defender and Power Ray Wizard.
