The Parker Meggitt Graduate Programme is an accelerated development programme for those graduating from University. Within our Programme, you can learn about engineering and operations in a global manufacturing environment. You’ll be able to utilise your existing experience as well as pick up new skills as you rotate around our business.


In order to fast-track your development, you’ll be assigned a senior leader to mentor you throughout the programme, as well as a professional development mentor who will support your progression towards professional status in your chosen field. This is a rotational programme consisting of 4 x 6month rotational across any of our Parker sites. One of the rotations could be on one of our European sites.

What you can expect


  • Get to know Parker Meggitt’s business, working in the Operations function
  • Build and develop your expertise in areas such as Production, Supply Chain, Quality, New Product Introduction, EHS & Lean
  • Have responsibility for managing your own workload and, responding directly to requests
  • Provide a first line of response to queries in your functional area from internal and external contacts
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify problems that need resolving and seek to find solutions
  • Make decisions in your area of responsibility and communicate these directly
  • Seek all learning opportunities and develop your knowledge and skills required for each of the roles and from people within your wider team

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities


  • A Bachelor’s Degree with substantial relevant work experience; and/or a Masters’ Degree; and/or a PhD in Engineering discipline (Mech, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Manufacturing) equivalent of 2:1 or above
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative, self-starter approach and strong communication skills
  • Geographical flexibility to move to any Parker location to complete rotations (4 x 6month assignments)
  • A team player with the ability to motivate yourself and work independently.
  • A lateral thinker, able to act with clarity and calm, even at the most challenging times
