Job description

We are looking to recruit motivated and passionate nurses (RMN/RNLD) for an exciting Rotational opportunity for our CAMHS and Adult Eating Disorder (ED) units. Our new Nurse Rotation Programme is an excellent opportunity to contribute towards your career progression through developing skills, experience and knowledge across our CAMHS &ED inpatients services.

The successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop a comprehensive working knowledge with the opportunity to work across three specialist units including CAMHS and ED inpatient settings (3 units)

Collingham Child and Family Centre (5 – 13yrs unit)

Lavender Walk Adolescent Unit (13 – 18yrs unit)

Vincent Square Adult Eating Disorders Unit

Spending 6 months on each ward as part of a rotation, you will experience an opportunity to work within varying highly specialised environments that will enrich your professional career. We are dedicated to creating the nursing leaders of the future and are committed to providing the development and training required to achieve this.

All nursing staff will be offered opportunity to access a variety of funded training that is recognised as fundamental to the recovery of patients requiring care and treatment within our services

  • Preceptorship Programme.
  • Trauma Informed Care Training.
  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Training.
  • Leadership Skills through NHS Academy and Practice Assessor training.

As a RAD Nurse, you are expected to complete the 18months programme to facilitate your development and ensure effective care delivery. In order to ensure effective running of the programme and prevent disruption to services, you are required to provide 12 weeks’ notice if you decide to come off the programme before the 18months.

Job Summary:
Band 5 nurses work closely with the people who use our services, their families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how people experience our services. Band 5 nurses are expected to be kind and responsive, professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services we provide by:
  • keeping the people who using our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessments.
  • ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence-based policies and procedures.
  • ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering and working in partnership with people throughout the care planning process.

Our modified and exciting rotational 18months rotational programme offers:
  • 3 separate rotations across our CAMHS & ED inpatient units
  • Placements will include; Lavender, Collingham and Vincent Square
  • Training and Development relevant to your role as part of these rotations ie Trust's Preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses, training in a variety of therapeutic approaches relevant to the role and client group.
  • An opportunity to receive training in Quality Improvement and to be involved in local QI projects
