Job Type: Full Time/Permanent

Salary: £22,672 - £29,556 (depending on experience and qualifications) + benefits to include high street discounts!

Location: Hove, BN3 4JD

Wish Park Nursery is l ocated on New Church Road In Hove. – The Detached Bungalow comprised with a self-contained Large outdoor environment, which is well equipped with a mud kitchen, Herb Gardens and currently creating a Duck Coop.

There is Free Parking in the street for staff to drive to work as well as local busses that stop close the nursery for No 1 and No 6. Portslade Train station is located in walking distance to the Nursery.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education

  • Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas

  • Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child

  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times

  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

What we’re looking for

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification

  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar)

  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children

  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents

  • Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
