About the opportunity:
The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield’s 100-year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites original waste plants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste from the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Alongside that work, the plant will also receive certain wastes from the other three legacy waste stores, the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond, the Pile Fuel Storage Pond, and Pile Fuel Cladding Silo.
For our team in Sellafield we are seeking an experienced Room Handover Controller.
In particular you will:
- control, monitor and coordinate the control of access to rooms that are nearing completion.
- ensure the rooms are left in a safe, clean & tidy manner for supporting the coordination of tasks / trade disciplines / inspection / of each room.
- carry out room by room reviews to identify remaining scope
- Supervisory experience, with multidisciplinary coordination
- Ability to control several interfaces of multiple levels of trades and subcontract teams at the same time.
- A clear, informative, decisive and collaborative communicator.
- Experienced in Microsoft applications with the ability to create / monitor and report using Excel, Word & Powerpoint
