In this role you will be working as part of a wider team to implements and test Robots (such as Boston Dynamics Spot).
Requirements:
- High level of knowledge and experience with automation.
- Exposure to robot programming.
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Systems, Integration or Test Engineer with experience.
- Exposure to both hardware and software or embedded solutions.
- Linux and/or other embedded OS.
- Networking (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Cellular).
- Field Testing, PoC deployment.
- Systems integration.
- Sensor data processing including computer vision and AI/ML.
- Oil and Gas Industry experience (Ideal)
- Programming languages – Linux – C/C#
- Analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent team-working.
- Self-starter – able to work independently with limited guidance and support.
- Capability to work quickly, under pressure and to deadlines.
- Degree or Equivalent industry experience, or qualification
Preferences:
We are recruiting for two Robotics Engineers to work as part of a team to implement and test Robots. You will need to have exposure to Robot programming and ROS (Robot Operating System) and ideally some knowledge of or experience working within the oil and gas industry. The roles are Inside IR35, remote based (within the UK) with occasional ad-hoc days onsite in London, initially for 6 months and likely to extend.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a team to implement and test robots (such as Boston Dynamics Spot).
- Design and document quality assurance test cycles.
- Programming robot missions to deliver specific procedures.
- Prepare and support field test activities.
- Run and document the output of test cycles.
