Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas
Shift times: Approximately midday to 11pm, 3 out of 4 weekends, 49-hours
This is the job
As our Roadside Rescue Mechanic and shift superhero, you’ll go the extra mile for our members. You are the legend who commits when others can’t. Working lunchtime and early afternoon starts with a finish in the late evening; you were built to repair vehicles and born to problem solve. In return for your commitment to a 49-hour working week we will reward you with a £60,000 basic salary. Day or night, you’re always there.
We’ll also go the extra mile for you, with training, support and opportunities for development.

What will I be doing?
You’ll be:
- A communicator: You are our master of diagnostics and fundamental in delighting our customers! You're comfortable sharing your knowledge and information in a way that our customers understand the situation and feel safe that their needs will be taken care of
- A self-starter: You will be content working independently, as well as collaborating as part of a team, driving to different locations in all weathers
- A fixer/problem solver: You will revel in using your technical expertise to solve a variety of issues. Whether that’s fixing the vehicle by the roadside or recovering the vehicle to a garage, you bring the solution and enable your customer to get on with their day
What do I need?
You’ll need:
- NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
- It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
