Senior Risk Manager - Risk Management (project risk - QRA / QRSA)
The opportunity
Project: Large scale Rail infrastructure projects based in the UK and Overseas
Your responsibilities will include:
- Standalone accountability for risk management delivery on small to medium sized projects, or as part of team within larger project(s);
- Accountable for delivery of effective risk management services on designated project(s);
- Specific area(s) of responsibility with client & manages delivery of expectations accordingly;
- Mentors / supports / manages more junior members of staff to deliver specific requirements for client;
- Recommends continual improvements & potential future developments to client where appropriate & supports recommendations with expert knowledge & experience;
- Identifies potential business development opportunities within own client areas & makes PMO Director(s) / Project Controls Director(s) & others aware of these;
- Technical professional with risk management experience;
- General understanding of all aspects of risk management, and promote value for money. Understanding of risk processes & recommended tools;
- Working knowledge of current methodologies & tools related to managing projects ;
- Able to lead negotiations with third parties as cost management specialist;
- Able to respond to client / stakeholder requests effectively & sensitively;
- Excellent attention to detail & able to validate & check data and reports, recording & reports produced, providing basic commentary & analysis
Leadership & Behavioural qualities
- Persuading & influencing clients, consultants, suppliers & colleagues;
- Working with others to create & deliver persuasive presentations;
- Tackling problems that do not have an obvious solution;
