Job Summary
Responsible for the collection and study of Risk data, providing effective data analysis into operational risks. Support the teams to manage risks across the business by providing effective reporting, actionable analysis and supporting on the collection and structure of Risk data. This includes Health & Safety, Insurance, Business Assurance, Business Continuity and Merchandise Compliance. Provide training and support where required to ensure team members get the most out of their data.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with all areas of Risk to understand their data, reporting and analysis requirements
- Engage with Risk stakeholders to build reports which provide relevant, timely, actionable analysis and insight
- Produce regular, accurate, timely reporting and analysis to the Risk function to use in decision making with the wider business
- Use reporting and data sets to identify, analyse and interpret trends in complex data to provide meaningful, actionable analysis for all Risk teams
- Support on any ad hoc data requirements for the Risk function
- Suggest enhancements to processes to improve data capture, accuracy, sources and analysis
- Work closely with Risk Leadership to agree priorities and regularly update on progress
- Represent the Risk department from a technical and data viewpoint for any new software implementation
- Supervise data deletion and data retention policy. Adhere to GDPR and assure the Risk department is compliant
- Support on cross-functional data projects including Automation and Process Optimisation
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Experience with analysis tools for example Excel, PowerBI, PowerApps
- Experience of working with stakeholders to agree and align on requirements
- Ability to interpret complex data, analyse results and spot trends using statistical techniques
- Ability to explain complex analysis in a meaningful way
- Ability to develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Work closely with management to prioritise business and information needs
