Job Summary & Purpose:
The Risk Advisory team empowers our multi-asset clients to measure, monitor and manage total portfolio risk using our integrated public and private market Data & Analytics risk tools.
The intern will be responsible for using a combination of Albournes extensive database, Castle tools and self-developed tools to derive, report and explain key risk insights on clients portfolios. The role offers the opportunity to further develop, influence and support operations of Albournes risk management solutions for advisory clients portfolios. You will assume responsibility for model risk management topics, perform ad-hoc research analytics and present findings in internal meetings.
Accountabilities:
- Actively monitor client portfolios with reference to performance, risk, exposures, rating and sub-ratings, understanding the portfolios objectives within the context of the total asset allocation.
- Research and develop analysis, forecasting and optimization methods to improve the quality of risk management functions.
- Prepare, run and review client portfolio risk models ensuring data accuracy and complete coverage.
- Monitor performance and trends across Hedge Funds, Private Markets, Dynamic Beta and Traditional Assets
- Undertake bespoke strategy and portfolio level ad-hoc quantitative research where appropriate
- Gain strong skills in Albournes quantitative portfolio risk tools including Portfolio Manager, Private Market Cash Flow Model, 5A etc.
- Report potential conflicts to compliance and work with compliance to ensure that conflict disclosure on appear on research reports
Other Requirements:
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
- Practical experience with quantitative methods
- Experience with statistical modeling tools (e.g. R, Python and/or Matlab)
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Proactive self-starter, proficient time management and multi-tasking
- Comply with Albourne compliance manuals
