Salary: £32,020 per annum rising to £33,820 per annum on first year of anniversary – pro rata for part time (subject to satisfactory completion of probation period)

Working Hours & Contract: Fixed term until March 2025 – Full time (Flexible and Hybrid working included)

This new role will require the successful candidate to be responsible for dealing with:

· Housing and Council Tax benefit administration and Council tax Recovery

· Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of Nottingham citizens living in supported housing accommodation

· Develop strong partnerships with private landlords and citizens, to ensure the appropriate support is provided to citizens within the non-commissioned supported accommodation sector

· Investigate and resolve allegations, complaints or difficulties arising with supported accommodation

· Be a first point of contact for citizens, landlords and other key stakeholders to resolve problems as promptly as possible.

The Review Officer will be the responsible practitioner in assessing and, reviewing the social and support needs of people who lead chaotic lives and are usually difficult to engage. The role will require an experienced practitioner who is able to identify risks in both supported accommodation provision and health and care services and be able to address these, in partnership with others / other service providers where appropriate.

This post has been created in response to the Government’s Supported Housing Improvement Programme focussing on non-commissioned supported accommodation. Therefore the post holder will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team working within the Revenue and Benefits division of the Council. Liaising and working closely with other public, private and voluntary sector bodies and colleagues across the Council will be crucial, inclusive of close liaison with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities.

Essential Criteria:

· The ability to deal with difficult and challenging customers both professionally and diligently, both face to face and over the phone or equivalent

· Practical knowledge of IT systems including a variety of software packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint in order to produce documents and databases.

· Experience of contributing to strategic planning and identifying outcomes to deliver strategic aims

· Experience of managing a performance management regime where you’ve setup a variety of key performance indicators and have monitored the outcomes and produced outcome-based reports

· General knowledge of safeguarding

· Knowledge of the temporary and supported housing sector, and a willingness to continue to grow knowledge of the sector
