South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust manages the South Tees Retinal Screening Service which provides a comprehensive Diabetic Retinal Screening service across the South Tees area. The service provides annual diabetic eye screening to just under 30,000 patients across Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and the Hambleton and Richmond areas of North Yorkshire.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic person to provide screening and disease grading to national standards. The overall aim is to reduce the incidence of new blindness in the diabetic population.
The successful applicant must be able to prove they understand the importance of attention to detail and accuracy, and have experience and confidence in using Windows based IT software.
The post involves travelling to community venues across Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Hambleton & Richmond, therefore the ability to travel independently is essential.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
