Since its opening in 2009, Yorkshire Wildlife Park has evolved to become the UK’s number 1 on-foot safari. We feature walkthrough exhibits that take the guest directly into the world of the animals. A dynamic centre for conservation and welfare, the park currently has around 400 animals across 70 different species.
The Yorkshire Hive is the exciting new development adjacent to Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
The retail at Yorkshire Wildlife Park and The Yorkshire Hive offers a unique retail experience for our guests. The Yorkshire Wildlife Park and The Yorkshire Hive Stores offer a large range of products, from inspirational gifts to themed souvenirs, with a selection of products to suit all ages.
We’re currently looking for an energetic Retail Supervisor to join our dynamic and fast paced team at The Yorkshire Wildlife Park and The Yorkshire Hive Stores. The successful candidates will work as part of the team to deliver a seamless and memorable retail experience by consistently providing excellent customer service.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assisting all guests and completing till transactions for all purchases being made in store.
- Responsible for the daily operational supervision of a team of staff members within the retail department.
- Training and development of the retail team.
- Working with the Deputy Retail Store manager to ensure that staffing levels and rotas are efficiently resourced.
- Support with product control ensuring stock levels throughout the store and storeroom are well maintained.
- Deliver exemplary customer service to all visitors to ensure the customers’ expectations are exceeded.
Candidate:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
- Must be able to work independently and as a part of team.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Must be flexible and able to work during the peak times which includes weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £10.53 per hour
