Hours: 1 hour 20 minutes a day between 11.55am and 1.15 pm, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year (including inset days)

The Governors at Ashgate Primary School are looking to appoint and enthusiastic, friendly and discreet person who has an ability to work as part of a team of Midday Supervisors. Duties include supervising and supporting the children in the dining hall and whilst in the playground or indoors in wet weather. You should care about the health and wellbeing of children and essentially enjoy interacting with our children and working with them to engage in appropriate games and activities. The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible and committed to supporting all children.
We’re looking for people who want to bring joy, will be cheerful, bubbly and make a positive difference to all children – especially those who find life more challenging than others!
Included in this particular role is the expectation to undertake basic first aid duties, therefore experience and qualifications in first aid practice will be advantageous. Candidates with experience and or appropriate first aid qualifications must make this clear in their application. Should the successful candidate not have the relevant experience or training this will be provided for them.
Inset days: training is sometimes given on Inset days and, if so, normal working hours apply, however staff may be requested to attend training outside their working hours in agreement with the line manager.
