About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Belfast store team as a Store Manager. In this role you will be fully accountable for the store and controlling store costs whilst motivating a large team to consistently deliver high standards of performance, enabling store targets to be exceeded on a regular basis.

Our retail stores have done some amazing collaborations with LeBron, Nike and most recently with Converse, which included a new limited-edition capsule collection with a celebration of the diverse and creative nature of the club’s beating heart – it’s supporters.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the store, making smart commercial decisions to drive sales and generate revenue. Working in conjunction with the Director, Retail Store to determine the strategic direction of the store and leading the implementation of these initiatives.
  • Ensuring that you drive the store`s excellent performance and achievement of the EBITDA, through commercial decision making, driving store standards so that the store is consistently performing in all areas, including Visual Merchandising, Customer Service and Compliance.
  • Day to day management of the store, including key holder responsibilities and management of store priorities and KPIs.
  • Completion of management paperwork and all activities in accordance with Store Compliance audits.
  • Completing customer service observations and floor walks to ensure we maintain high store standards and directing the team to implement any actions.
  • Accountability for the visual presentation of the store and carrying out regular floor walks to ensure the store meets the required standards.
  • Overseeing and accountable for shopfloor moves and any promotional activities and product launches, for example Kit launch and Christmas.
  • Implementing and consistently delivering store standards, retail guidelines/policies/processes and retail compliance and ensuring that the team are fully trained, and these areas are fully implemented.
  • Coaching and developing your team.
  • Accountability for managing and tracking costs against budgets.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will have previously experience working within a managerial position within a fast-paced retail environment, it is desired you will have experience within a similar sports retail environment. It is vital you are a strong leader with excellent organisational skills and able to manage, motivate and drive a large team day to day. Within this dynamic role, you will have previous great store and retail operations knowledge, including the experience to go with it.

You’ll have excellent product knowledge and the awareness of what makes an excellent shopping experience for our customers and how to deliver this. You will have strong numerical/analytical skills and the ability to interpret figures to make smart commercial decisions, whilst controlling budgets and labour costs.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week, on a 5 from 7-day basis. Your main base will be our Belfast Store.
