Summary of Position:
The Hub Manager’s responsibility is to oversee and coordinate the day to day operations of the business within the Hub. To work closely with the senior management team to implement company policy, culture and ethos. To work closely with senior management on new product selection and to educate yourself and sales team on all products within The Healthcare Hub. Contribute to the marketing ideas and implement them at shop level.
Salary: £23000 pro rata
3 full days per week.
1. Store Duties:
a. Opening and closing the shop at confirmed open and close times.
b. Greeting customers for both shop and service elements of Hub.
c. Giving our customers/patients the best possible experience when in the Hub.
d. Make sure the shop is tidy and presentable at all times.
e. Make sure stock levels are adequate/replenished and stock is presented in a neat and tidy manner.
f. Make sure the store room is an understandable order and is regularly maintained.
g. Being competent in all aspects of the work done by the sales team.
h. Implementation of new procedures as discussed with senior management.
i. Maximising the use of quiet time in the shop which could include improving tidiness, management of stock levels.
j. Performing regular stock takes as accurately as possible which would include doing one department e.g. maternity range on the same take and would include the stock on shop floor and in store room.
k. Encouraging staff to be pro-sales which would include the up-selling of products/services where possible.
l. Ensuring that staff rota’s are efficient and to organise cover when needed.
m. Partaking in social media and marketing which will include regular posts on Instagram and Facebook.
2. Management Duties
a. Managing staff rota’s and ensuring cover is in place when needed.
b. Maintain and improve personal and sales team knowledge on all products and services that are available in the Hub.
c. Implementation of an efficient stock ordering process across all products within the Hub.
d. Making sure stock levels are maintained.
e. Responsible for all banking functions related to the store including making bank deposits, filling
change requirements, reconciling day end etc.
f. Working closely with senior management on implementation of new policy and procedures.
g. Handle ePos system functions and transactions including: sales, voids, correct pricing, inventory control and receipting to customers. Also, responsible for register cash fund including: maintaining float and petty cash. Ensure correct check acceptance policies, charge card activities.
h. Perform all necessary personnel functions as determined by company policies and procedures including time keeping and liaising with accounts for payroll management, disciplinary functions, evaluations and training and management of annual leave.
i. Partake in the employment process and disciplinary procedures when necessary.
j. Positively and efficiently implement changes that have been decided by the senior management team.
k. Regularly feedback to senior management about Hub progress and update with ideas on changes/improvements that would benefit in a positive manner.
