COUNTER SALES/YARD & FORKLIFT DRIVER
Robert Price (Builders’ Merchants) Ltd. – Merthyr
Hours:
40 hours per week average to be worked from Monday to Friday during our daytime opening hours of 7.30am to 4.30pm, with alternative Saturday mornings 8:00am – 12:00pm.
Pay:
Negotiable according to experience.

Duties:
· Counter sales and related administration
· Use of point-of-sale terminal – training will be given
· Customer service, dealing with customers in person and on the phone
· Merchandising, price labelling and stock management
· Picking orders, loading and unloading
· Forklift driving and general warehouse duties
Essential Skills:
· A confident communicator with a willingness to engage with customers and provide good service
· Manual handling up to 25kg
· GCSE Maths (minimum grade C) and English Language with good keyboard skills
· Reliable, industrious, adaptable and quick to grasp new concepts
· A proven team player
· Naturally tidy and organised
· Able to follow instructions and work unsupervised and with initiative
Desirable:
· An interest in the construction and retail industries
· Practical experience with building materials and their application
· Experience in customer service, perhaps gained in retail sales or hospitality
· Forklift licence – desirable but not essential, training can be given
