COUNTER SALES
Robert Price (Builders’ Merchants) Ltd. - Merthyr
Hours:
40 hours per week to be worked from Monday to Friday and some Saturday mornings during our daytime opening hours.
Pay:
Negotiable according to experience.
Benefits:

Duties:
Counter sales and related administration
Booking goods in and out, using point-of-sale terminal
Customer service, dealing with customers in person and on the phone
Merchandising and price labelling
Stock management
The role requires excellent selling skills, customer service and team-work skills with an understanding of building materials, stock control, orders, deliveries and pricing. Computerised point-of-sale training will be given.
Essential Skills:
GCSE Maths (minimum grade C) and English Language with good numeracy and keyboard skills
Confident communicator with proven team work skills
Naturally tidy and organised
Willingness to engage with customers and provide good customer service
Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised
Reliable, industrious, adaptable and quick to grasp new concepts
Manual handling up to 25kg
Good knowledge of building materials and their usage
Desirable:
An interest in sales and in the construction industry
