Job Description:
As a Florist Retail Associate, you will be the face of our shop and play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding retail experience to our customers. You will assist customers in floral selections, answer inquiries, handle transactions in store and online orders, and ensure the overall satisfaction of our clients. In addition to serving customers, you will also be responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of the retail space, and restocking merchandise. A huge part of this role is supporting the florists/owners with various tasks such as cleaning and prepping flowers, maintaining the cleanliness of the floral fridge and creating bouquets for same day orders and the retail floral wall.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide them with exceptional service
- Assist customers in selecting floral arrangements and offer guidance based on their needs and preferences
- Handle electronic transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing retail space, including arranging displays and restocking merchandise
- Ensure the availability of fresh flowers and other retail products by monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the florists and suppliers
- Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and providing accurate and helpful information
- Assist with wrapping and packaging floral arrangements for customer pick-up or delivery
- Collaborate with the florists/owners to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the retail space
Requirements:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- A proactive worker that takes initiative and seeks out opportunities to contribute and be productive even when the workload is light
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge or interest in floral design is a recommended
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: From $15.00 per hour
