Retail Relief Customer Service Advisor – Birmingham North

Salary: £ 22,552 per annum

Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00, Saturdays 09:30 – 12:30

Contract: Permanent

Please Note: As this is a Relief role you will be required to travel across the specified cluster and when required across the network (Great Barr, Handsworth, Harborne, Kings Heath, Kingstanding, Perry Barr, Smethwick, Stone Cross, Sutton Coldfield, Washwood Heath).

As a Retail Relief Customer Service Advisor, you will ensure our customers’ needs are handled in an accurate and professional manner, providing a superior customer experience. From having genuine conversations in customer focused meetings you will be able to successfully provide a solution to their individual needs from our wide range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • To be the face of the West Brom, building relationships with customers on a one-to-one basis and deliver excellent customer service every time
  • Maintain knowledge of the Society’s products and services
  • Taking ownership for your personal development

  • Cash and cheque management
  • The ability to get things right first time through high levels of accuracy
  • Identifying and raising issues that put the customer or Society as risk

Skills & Attributes
  • Previous customer service experience, with a genuine interest in customers and their needs. Ability to interact and engage with customers, relationship building skills
  • You’ll be contributing towards a controlled and secure branch with responsibility for ensuring errors are kept to a minimum, especially when dealing with customers so it’s important to be attentive to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – with the ability to communicate service information to customers in a way that they can understand
  • Ability to work individually as well as the enthusiasm to work as part of a team
