About the store
Specsavers in North Bridge first opened its doors in 2007. The store sits in a prime location on the main high street and is firmly embedded within the local community.
North Bridge pride themselves in ensuring that every one of their customers receives an excellent patient experience. The high levels of service and patient care have led to numerous positive customer reviews and an have earned them a 4.5 out of 5 stars online.
The store boasts 3 test rooms – all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology, meaning you will have everything you need to perform sight tests to the highest possible standards.
A team of 16 dedicated and passionate colleagues call this store home. This includes two full time Optometrists, one part time and one Pre-Reg colleague. As the new Retail Director, you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.

Store location
The North Bridge store is located in the vibrant city of Edinburgh. With excellent transport links, including a mainline railway station within a 4-minute walking distance and access to two local tram stations, both under a ten minute walk away. it’s not uncommon for people to travel from far and wide to visit us. As the new Retail Partner in North Bridge, your customer base will be very diverse – but there’ll plenty of familiar faces too.
Requirements of the role
Alongside being an experienced retailer with experience in Optics, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.
